Welcome to Life Long Learning
The Life Long Learning organisation (LLL) is a network of self help groups in which people come together to share experience, knowledge, and interests. The Ormskirk Group is predominately a walking group with a few other activities.
All the Ormskirk LLL walks are led by a member of the group. Members either use their own cars to get to the start of the walk or use public transport when available. All walks are on a Friday, and most walks include a pub lunch. Details of the walks are included on the website and any changes in details are included.

More about Life Long Learning
Like the University of the Third Age, the LLL is a "Learning Co-operative of Older People" which enables its members to share educational, creative and leisure activities. The activities are organised mainly in small groups throughout the North West of England and meet regularly, often in each others' homes. Members share their knowledge and experience, and develop their own capabilities by learning from each other.
The LLL is run entirely by its members.
All Life Long Learning Groups are autonomous. There is no typical Life Long Learning Group; each reflects the wishes of its own local members and chooses its own activities.
Each Group is run on democratic principles and its Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee members are elected by the membership at the AGM. A local membership fee is agreed according to the circumstances of the individual Group.
